Revolution
HE IS RISEN!
Today is the day the world forever changed. Today an event happened that split history in half, that caused frightened, cowering men to become bold courageous revolutionaries. Today is the day of the revolution, because today is the day that Jesus Christ rose from the dead. This revolution means that sin, failure, sadness, and death don’t have the last word. God’s love has the last word. As we gather today at St. Dominic Parish we are invited to take this revolution to heart. On a day when our brothers and sisters in Egypt, Iraq, and Syria are willing to face death in order to celebrate Easter, we are invited to make a choice: to join God’s Revolution or remain on the sidelines. To allow God to transform us and our world, or to remain unchanged and mediocre.
In the coming weeks, we as a Parish will explore the life changing power of the revolution. Through the Resurrection, God wants to empower us to achieve great things. I pray that each of us will say yes to God’s invitation, that we will join the revolution.
